USAID Program Strengthening Integrity and Accountability Program (SIAP)

Contract through JPIP dated 11 November 2103.

Budget: IDR 203,280,000 with an additional of IDR 96,442,500 through a contract amendment to extend the program.

Implementation period starts from 11 November 2013 until 31 Mei 2014 (amendment to extend the period of implementation until September 2014.

Description

The Jawa Pos Institute of Pro-Autonomy (JPIP) runs a Program of “Promoting Government Accountability Improving Coverage of Reports and Issues in the Press” with the support of USAID SIAP. To run the program, JPIP requires capacity building assistance for bookkeeping, financial reporting, and project and institutional financial management.

Activities conducted include:

  • Assessment of current status and prioritizing of Financial SOP improvement needs that is required according to the characteristics of issues/areas of focus, legal forms, organizational structure, authority pattern and mapping procedure of JPIP;
  • Develop a basic accounting system for daily bookkeeping and assessing several accounting software in accordance with PSAK 45;
  • Develop Financial SOP;
  • On-the-job mentoring for Financial SOP implementation and bookkeeping application and financial reporting in accordance with USAID and PSAK 45 standards; and
  • Development of training module for financial management relevant with USAID and PSAK 45 regulations.

Funding

This program is supported by the USAID Strengthening Integrity and Accountability Program (SIAP), with a contract through the JPIP dated 11 November 2013 with a total budget of IDR 203,280,000 for implementation from 11 November 2013 until 31 May 2014.

Through the contract amendment as of 30 May 2014, the progam is extended until September 2014 with an additional budget of IDR 96,442,500.
