Description
The Penabulu Foundation collaborates with ministries, government agencies and local governments to manage sustainable community-based natural resources and collective climate change mitigation/adaptation actions that ensure social and economic inclusion at the lowest level of management units through the involvement of women’s groups, youth, indigenous peoples and vulnerable local communities effectively
Long Term Program Objectives:
- Increased involvement and role as well as benefits and support received by women’s groups, youth and other vulnerable groups in sustainable community-based natural resource management
- Increased collaboration and support from stakeholders (government, financial institutions, information technology service providers, value chain markets, etc.) in promoting initiatives for sustainable community-based natural resource management
Medium Term Achievements :
Utilization of natural resources by vulnerable groups and local communities in a participatory, equitable and sustainable way to improve people’s welfare and prevent climate change in accordance with statutory provisions.
With target groups including women’s groups, youth and other vulnerable groups, local communities and indigenous peoples whose lives depend on the management of natural resources in their surroundings in the form of forests, plantations and also private forests.
With the expected result:
- Increased involvement and role as well as benefits and support received by women’s groups, youth and other vulnerable groups in sustainable community-based natural resource management
- Increased collaboration and support from stakeholders (government, financial institutions, information technology service providers, value chain markets, etc.) in promoting initiatives for sustainable community-based natural resource management
