Survival Foundation (BOSF) has been committed to protecting Borneo orangutans and their habitat. However, realizing the complexity of conservation challenges, BOSF acknowledges the importance of engaging the traditional communities living around the forests. In this context, the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOSF) is currently conducting a staff capacity-building program to support the conservation of Borneo orangutans and the preservation of their habitat. In this program, 22 staff and coordinators from four BOSF programs and its headquarters will participate in a series of basic community development training with the aim that BOSF staff have an understanding and skills in various aspects, including conservation basics, community organizing, village spatial planning, and village development planning, to carry out various activities deemed necessary for the implementation of the strategies and programs.<\/p>\n<p>In this project, the Penabulu Foundation is involved as a consulting partner collaborating with the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOS Foundation) for the implementation of basic community development training for BOSF, with the following objectives:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Strengthening the community organizing perspective of community development staff in each BOSF program.<\/li>\n<li>Increasing the knowledge and understanding of community development staff regarding village spatial planning and village development planning.<\/li>\n<li>Enhancing the skills of community development staff in participatory village spatial planning and participatory village development planning methods, techniques, and approaches.<\/li>\n<li>Reinforcing the understanding of community development staff regarding the connection or convergence between orangutan conservation and forest habitat dynamics at the local level.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The expected outcome of this basic community development training for BOSF staff is that they will have the basic knowledge and skills in community organizing, village spatial planning, and village development planning, thereby being prepared for the implementation of the CISU Programme.<\/p>\n<h3>Funding<\/h3>\n<p>This program is supported by Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) Foundation, period from May 7, 2024 \u2013 May 15, 2024, with a total funding support of IDR. 60.000.000,- work location in Bogor.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":9,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[81],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-14526","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-program-berjalan-en"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/14526","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/9"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=14526"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/14526\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=14526"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=14526"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=14526"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
