program. Indonesia is entitled to receive a payment of USD 103.8 million for emission reduction (ER) performance results of 20.25 million tons of CO2 equivalent during the period 2014-2016, plus 2.5% as payment for non-carbon benefits.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims to manage forests sustainably, rehabilitate damaged forests, and empower communities to reduce poverty. In addition, the project also focuses on improving forest governance to address deforestation and forest degradation. Funds are channeled indirectly through the Intermediary Institution (Lemtara) to beneficiaries, which cover all provinces in Indonesia.
