These disasters cause significant damage to human lives and homes, with the most severe impact on the poorest and most marginalized communities. Women face significant challenges in disaster management due to social roles, responsibilities, and limited access to resources, making them more vulnerable.<\/p>\n<p>Oxfam, together with its partners, has implemented a program in four countries, including Indonesia, to reduce the impact of disasters on the most marginalized communities. The first phase took place from October 2020 to December 2023. The new phase, running from January 2024 to December 2026, aims to build upon and strengthen the achievements, experiences, and lessons learned during the previous implementation period of the <em>Strengthening Community Preparedness, Rapid Response, and Recovery in Asia 2020\u20132023<\/em>, also known as the <em>Asia Community Disaster Preparedness and Transformation (ACT) Program<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of the current project is to enhance the capacity of vulnerable communities and local humanitarian actors to prepare for, manage, and mitigate disaster risks by improving access to early warning systems, protecting livelihoods, and sharing knowledge and lessons on disaster preparedness and response to facilitate replication, scaling, and sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>The ACT II Project is currently being implemented in the Philippines, Indonesia, Nepal, and Bangladesh, with the goal of achieving four key outcomes:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Capacity Development<\/strong>: By the end of the project, up to 87 vulnerable communities in four Asian countries and Oxfam\u2019s local humanitarian partners will be able to implement disaster risk reduction activities (from preparedness to response) to save lives and livelihoods in the event of a disaster.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Asset Protection<\/strong>: Communities will have improved access to diverse livelihoods and external resources to strengthen their resilience.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Knowledge and Learning<\/strong>: Oxfam, local partners, communities, national actors, and other stakeholders will generate and share knowledge on disaster preparedness and anticipatory action, internally and externally.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Emergency Response Fund<\/strong>: Local actors will enhance their capacity to lead anticipatory and small-scale disaster response actions through access to an Emergency Response Fund, ensuring timely and effective humanitarian assistance to crisis-affected populations.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Funding<\/h3>\n<p>This program is supported Oxfam America, period program January 1, 2025 \u2013 December 31, 2026 with total funding support of USD 275,000<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":9,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[81],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-16468","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-program-berjalan-en"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/16468","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/9"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=16468"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/16468\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=16468"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=16468"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/penabulufoundation.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=16468"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
