long-term initiative to strengthen the institutional capacity and effectiveness of civil society organizations (CSOs) supported by the Packard Foundation in Indonesia. This phase preserves its core mission of capacity development while introducing renewed learning approaches that respond more directly to local contexts and the specific needs of CSOs, especially in Eastern Indonesia. Lingkar Madani is evolving into a capacity ecosystem hub\u2014a collaborative and reflective platform that bridges cross-initiative learning and CSO development efforts across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The program delivers tailored capacity-building interventions through a combination of online and in-person training, webinars, and coaching or mentoring. It also supports CSO partners to implement what they have learned and refine internal systems through a micro-grant mechanism. These efforts aim to translate learning into actionable organizational improvements and innovation.<\/p>\n<p>A structured learning design using the ADDIE framework (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) ensures systematic delivery and relevance. Lingkar Madani integrates instructional methods such as Problem-Based Learning, Peer Learning, Micro Learning, and Reflective Practice across all interventions. Two main clusters of capacity-building are offered: Organizational Capacity and Thematic Capacity, involving a total of 68 training sessions (both virtual and in-person), 16 webinars, and 130 coaching\/mentoring sessions.<\/p>\n<p>Participant outreach is expanded by updating organizational contact points and mapping staff roles, positions, and competencies\u2014aiming to engage 4\u20136 focal points per partner CSO. This personalized engagement allows Lingkar Madani to match specific learning opportunities with individual and organizational needs. Structured cohort training and thematic labs are designed to address real issues and practical goals, covering topics such as organizational accountability, governance, nonprofit financial management and taxation, human resources, strategic planning, and resource mobilization.<\/p>\n<p>Service providers are carefully selected from among experienced local facilitators, trainers, and practitioners who have direct experience working with CSOs\u2014particularly in the Packard Foundation\u2019s regions of interest. Through open recruitment and head-hunting, Lingkar Madani builds a diverse and culturally grounded resource pool, ensuring high relevance and contextual alignment in content and facilitation. Many providers are former CSO leaders or community organizers, bringing credibility and depth to each learning process.<\/p>\n<p>The geographical scope includes all regions where Packard&#8217;s CSO partners operate\u2014Java, Bali, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara, Maluku, and Papua\u2014with a strong emphasis on Eastern Indonesia. Lingkar Madani Phase 4 is envisioned to become a catalyst for strengthening civil society infrastructure and sustainability, enabling organizations to thrive in increasingly complex environments.<\/p>\n<p>Through strategic collaboration with the Packard Foundation, Lingkar Madani seeks not only flexible financial support but also ongoing reflective dialogue and critical feedback. This partnership is key to ensuring the program remains relevant and impactful.
