itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h3>Description<\/h3>\n<p>Violence against women is a widespread human rights violation that continues to occur in Indonesia\u2014in private, public, and digital spaces. Despite the presence of policies and regulations aimed at protecting women, many cases remain unresolved. One underlying issue is the lack of attention to victim companions, particularly those from grassroots women\u2019s organizations. These companions play a vital role in supporting survivors, yet their capacity is often overlooked, especially in adapting to digital security challenges.<\/p>\n<p>In response, Penabulu Foundation, supported by CFLI, initiated this program based on demands from women\u2019s organizations across five provinces\u2014Banten, Yogyakarta, East Java, East Nusa Tenggara, and East Kalimantan\u2014who expressed the urgent need to strengthen the skills of victim companions to improve service quality.<\/p>\n<p>The program consists of nine online training sessions covering three main themes: case handling, referral network development, and digital safety. These sessions are designed to be interactive, using games and simulations, and facilitated by experienced professionals.<\/p>\n<p>The project also includes 15 coaching sessions for five women\u2019s organizations and three learning forums where companions can exchange experiences and best practices.<\/p>\n<p>A unique feature of this project is its focus on digital safety\u2014a pressing concern for companions who actively voice issues on social media. The goal is for them to safely and effectively engage in digital advocacy for gender justice.<\/p>\n<p>Advocacy campaigns will also be conducted via social media and websites, targeting the general public and stakeholders.
