Transition project aims to ensure that the ongoing shift toward renewable energy in Asia unfolds in a fair, inclusive way that empowers women across all their diversities, as users, decision-makers, leaders, and innovators of energy solutions. The initiative examines how energy transition processes shape gender dynamics and identifies models and pathways that strengthen women\u2019s leadership within the Just Energy Transition (JET) agenda.<\/p>\n<p>This participatory action learning initiative will be led by the UTS, Institute for Sustainable Futures (ISF) and managed by Oxfam Australia, with activities implemented in Indonesia and the Philippines, alongside regional advocacy efforts in ASEAN to promote more equitable and inclusive energy policies that prioritize those most affected.<\/p>\n<p>Penabulu serves as the host country partner in Indonesia, ensuring that the participatory action learning process runs effectively by coordinating logistics, national and regional workshops, GEDSI\u2013JET learning analysis in Indonesia, and facilitating linkages with women\u2019s networks and local partners at national and provincial levels. This role also includes supporting joint learning processes, validating emerging insights, and disseminating outcomes to influence fair and inclusive energy policies and investments in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Grounded in community-based good practices, the initiative will produce a regional learning report and program guidance that demonstrate that women\u2019s meaningful engagement in the energy transition is not only possible.
