program, HIVOS ROSEA continued to provide support for capacity building of financial management of non-profit organizations in Indonesia by supporting the research on financial management capacity of non-profit organizations in Indonesia, and development of consulting assistance unit.<\/p>\n<p>During the research phase, questionnaires was sent to 1,012 institutions, with a total return of 108 and from that number 83 was clarified and processed.<\/p>\n<p>Status mapping of financial management of non-profit organizations in Indonesia is then able to show that non-profit organizations have special characteristics. These special characteristics produce a special model of financial management also. Financial accountability of non-profit organizations will rely on the strength of internal control systems and performance of organization financial management, that must be developed specifically in accordance with the special characteristics of non-profit organizations. Risk assessment and determination of controlling activities will be key to the development of an internal control system.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, financial accountability of non-profit organizations will be strongly determined by several supporting factors of different management performance, namely human resources, infrastructure and financial management instruments.
