development is to increase local economic growth and sustainable use of natural resources. At the same time poverty and spending levels in rural areas remain high, decent employment opportunities are still inadequate and urbanization continues to increase. Most villages in Indonesia have typologies as agricultural villages, land cover and the number of workers in the agricultural sector in rural areas continues to increase. The total number of farmers in Indonesia is only slightly from the total number of farmers in Indonesia. At present, the role of women farmers in the agricultural sector is diminishing and this sector is opposed by youth who are deemed unable to provide a decent living in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Order new village provide enormous for women and young farmer groups to develop a green economy and sustainable agriculture. To restore the role of women and youth in the agricultural sector, the village government has the authority to manage spatial planning and related village land use through a participatory process by installing effective women, youth and other groups who are marginalized \/ powerless with the economy. In addition, there needs to be support from Civil Society Organizations and the private sector in developing the most suitable agricultural model (alley crop, agroforestry, permaculture, technology-based agriculture, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>This action is designed and aimed at promoting an inclusive zone of green economy initiatives in the agricultural sector for women and youth farmers. In order to increase agricultural productivity, food security, decent employment opportunities and inclusive economic growth towards attainment of SDG2, SDG5, and SDG8 in Indonesia. The action will be carried out in 100 villages, 8 sub-districts in 3 districts (Kabupaten Padang Pariaman in West Sumatra, Grobogan Regency in Central Java and East Lombok Regency in West Nusa Tenggara)<\/p>\n<p>The main activity of this program are :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Strengthened the effectiveness involvement of women and youth in village development under a new village order.<\/li>\n<li>Improved the sustainable agriculture practices by women and youth farmer groups.<\/li>\n<li>Promoted good and innovative women and youth sustainable agriculture practices to broader public at sub-national and national level.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This action was led by the Penabulu Foundation as the lead applicant organization and conducted cross-sectoral activities at the national level and was fully supported by ICCO as one of the co-applicant organizations.
