Description

The Campus Coalition for Papuan Democracy (KKDP) is an organization committed to the sovereignty of natural resources in Papua, consisting of academics from various universities in Papua. As a new organization, KKDP realizes the importance of designing the direction of organizational growth through competent governance, especially in terms of financial management. Good financial management is an important pillar to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization. To that end, KKDP seeks to develop an effective financial governance system with the aim of strengthening the organization’s capacity to manage its resources in a transparent and accountable manner.

The Penabulu Foundation will assist in the capacity building process which will be carried out through several stages, starting with offline meetings to assess existing financial practices and agree on an optimal financial management structure. Furthermore, it is hoped that a financial governance and accounting system for the organization will be built with the following outputs: (1) Financial SOP Document; (2) Accounting SOP Document; (3) KKDP organization’s Quill-based Financial Report. With these steps, KKDP hopes to increase transparency and accountability in financial management, so that it can support the sovereignty of natural resources in Papua in a sustainable manner.
