Stop TB Partnership

STBP/CRG/GSA/2021-71

USD 100.000

December 13, 2021 – November 28, 2022

Description

Community-led knowledge development on TB continues to receive minimal attention from national stakeholders, resulting in widening knowledge gap among stakeholders, lack of agility in adapting new challenges such as the pandemic, and minimal practical advocacy at grassroots level. In response to this situation, the Penabulu Foundation supported by the Stop TB Partnership/UNOPS developed a program Advancing Community Consortium Efforts to Leverage and Advocate TB Elimination (ACCELERATE).

ACCELERATE focuses in ensuring CSOs and TB-affected communities are equipped with knowledge and platforms to learn, act, and advocate for community, rights and gender (CRG) based interventions in the efforts to reach UN HLM TB 2022 targets in the context of COVID-19 pandemic.

ACCELERATE aim to mobilize collaboration and knowledge exchange to fight TB during/post COVID-19. Achieving 2022 target by connecting policy makers, advocates, professionals and communities through workshop and dialogues are fundamental for knowledge building and advocacy, towards community-based TB care and prevention.

Objectives

  1. Ensuring and supporting communities and civil societies put forward Call to Actions for multi-sectorial leadership to meet national TB targets by 2022
  2. Ensuring and supporting National TB Programme recovery efforts from COVID-19 are implemented at district-level, particularly at high burden districts
  3. Ensuring the promotion of rights-based, gender transformative, and people-centered with bolder evidence from TB-affercted communities in the context of COVID-19
