Description
The East Kalimantan GCF Task Force program with funding support from the GCF Fund for the 2019/2020 period was administered by UNDP and managed by Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara (YKAN), to support the work of the East Kalimantan GCF Program Secretariat under the coordination of the East Kalimantan Climate Change Regional Council (Dewan Daerah Perubahan Iklim/DDPI Kaltim). The East Kalimantan GCF Task Force 2019/2020 program includes: (a) mapping of the roles of the parties, contribution and analysis of costs, results and gaps including the role of gender in emission reduction activities; (b) identify new funding opportunities and develop proposals to mobilize resources to finance the implementation of prioritized strategies; and (c) strengthen East Kalimantan’s DDPI capacity in coordinating various emission reduction activities in East Kalimantan. The Penabulu Foundation is assigned to carry out internal monitoring and evaluation of the GCF Program.
The purpose of this assignment is to measure the implementation, achievements and constraints and challenges in implementing the emission reduction program in East Kalimantan through the funding scheme of the Governor’s Climate and Forest Task Force. While the expected output from this activity is the availability of documents from the results of monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the East Kalimantan 2019/2020 GCF Task Force Program.
